Terrorist attacks on the rise: O people wake up
By: Iftikhar Islam
We know very well what has happened in the Army Public School of Peshawar, Pakistan. On 16th December 2014, we have witnessed the heinous attack where more than 140 innocents killed, mainly targeting students ranging between eight and eighteen years of age. There are many other attacks we have witnessed in the past that have taken many innocents lives.
The moment any attack takes place we come up with condolences and quoting the ayat from the Quran saying “If anyone kills any innocent human being it is as if he has killed the whole of humanity”(5:32). My dear brothers and sisters, it is not enough only to send the condolences. We should work on how these terrorist attacks get stopped. It’s the time to expose those who are behind these attacks. It’s time to expose those who fund them and help them to commit these crimes very minutely.
The Glorious Quran says: O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah, witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. (5:8) The Quran also says: “O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah; even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allah is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you may avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do.” (4:135)
We have to be on the path of righteousness and justice. We need to expose those terrorists who are hiding behind in the name of “making peace”. We need to expose those who are real master minds.
We get many contradictory news from various media houses. Once the media says one thing and the same media shows the contradictory report later. In this situation we should be very cautious in believing the media. We should not term anyone as terrorists or believe they are innocents. Being quiet on these matters is the part of 'hikmah' (wisdom). But this does not mean we should not struggle to bring out the truth.
When we read about Taliban (of Afganistan) and Tahrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) we find many contradictions. The Wikipedia says “The TTP is not directly affiliated with the Afghan Taliban movement led by Mullah Omar, with both groups differing greatly in their histories, strategic goals and interests although they are both predominantly Pashtun.” Further it says “The TTP differs in structure to the Afghan Taliban”. Taliban of Afghanistan does not support the activities of TTP. TTP is formed after NATO led ISAF forces started operation in Afghanistan.
After reading various reports I can say that there is something wrong with regards to TTP. The activities done by them are strongly rejected by the basic tenants of Islam. They are just wearing Muslim identities and working for the anti-Islamic forces who are funding them and helping them to minutely plan and attack the innocents so that Muslims get divided and fight between themselves and they can easily rob the wealth from those countries and prevent Islamic Shariah to come into force by the collective efforts of the Muslims in the world.
These people sitting behind creates one or the other organization and make the world busy thinking about these organizations and live in terrorized conditions so that they can save their positions as “Worlds Powerful Nations” and “Peace Keepers.”
If we analyze the terrorist attacks done in last few years, we come to know that non-western countries have affected more as compare to western countries. More and more Muslims have died in these attacks. We should recognize the situation and realize the need of uniting the Ummah under one banner of “La ilaha illallahu Muhammadur Rasoolullah” by keeping aside the minor differences between us. No matter how we differ with each other, the moment our enemies take advantage of it, we should get united – as it was done by Hazrat Muawiyah at the time of war with Hazrat Ali.
Allah says in the Quran “And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you - when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided.” (3:103)
If we don’t wake up now and realize our duties, then no wonder we see many attacks in the near future.
