Think over it - Why we have born?

By: Iftikhar Islam

ALLAH (swt) says in the Quran “And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone).” [Surah Dariyat, 51:56]. God almighty created us only for worshiping him. Many of us have a misconception that Salah, Zakat, Hajj is all worship. In fact Salah, Zakat, Hajj is only a form of worship. Worship in broader way is obeying the commandments of ALLAH (swt). ALLAH (swt) commands us in the Holy Quran “Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching…” [Surah Nahl, 16:125]. Are we fulfilling this commandment??? Think yourself.

Further, ALLAH (swt) says in the Quran “Who is better in speech than one who calls (men) to God, works righteousness, and says, "I am of those who bow in Islam"? [Surah Fussilat, 41:33]. In this ayah (verse) ALLAH (swt) says the best profession is calling people towards ALLAH (swt), but we think the best profession is Doctor, Engineer, etc. In fact Doctor, Engineer, etc are good profession, but not the best. We can achieve the best profession even being a doctor, engineer, student, teacher, business-man, home-maker, etc. but we have our lame excuses. Our beloved Prophet (sallam) said “convey (my teachings) to the people even if it were a single sentence”[Sahih Bukhari Vol:4, H:667] and we say that we love our prophet more than us and more than everyone (but it is only by saying, not in practice)

ISLAM is the religion of PEACE. Don’t you think your friends need peace? What do you call a person who doesn’t follow ISLAM (Quran and Sahi Hadith)?? Surely you will give him some name. Do you like to be called by the same name?? NO! Then why are we not spreading the message of Islam? Are we hypocrite? That we say we believe and don’t follow to it?

ALLAH (swt) says “You are the best people raised for the good of mankind” ALLAH (swt) honors us and everywhere honor is backed by responsibility. The responsibility is also mentioned in the same ayah which says “you enjoin good and forbid evil and believe in ALLAH” [surah Ale Imran, 3:110] Are we doing our job? ALLAH (swt) calls us best of people because we enjoin what is good and forbid what is wrong and we believe in ALLAH (swt). Are we the best of people?? Are we enjoying good and forbidding wrong??

The prophet (sallam) said “...He who amongst you sees something abominable should modify it with the help of his hand; and if he has not strength enough to do it, then he should do it with his tongue, and if he has not strength enough to do it, (even) then he should (abhor it) from his heart, and that is THE LEAST OF FAITH” [Sahih Muslim, H: 79] Let us look into ourselves. Can we fit in any of these? The Prophet (sallam) said, if we see anything wrong we should stop it with our hand. Are we doing this? Further he said, if any one does not have enough strength, stop it with tongue; and if any one does not have this much strength, then he should curse it in his heart and that is the lease of Faith. Whenever anything wrong we see, we also participate in it. How shameless are we?? The prophet said to stop it but we are doing it with great eagerness.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said "Be patient, till you face them and invite them to Islam and inform them of what Allah has enjoined upon them. By Allah! If a single person embraces Islam at your hands (i.e. through you), that will be better for you than the red camels." [Sahih Bukhari Vol: 4, H: 192]

Allah also warns and says “And if you turn away (from the path), He will substitute another people (in your place) and they would not be like you” [Surah Muhammad, 47:38].

Come on LETS WORK TOGETHER FOR ISLAM

May ALLAH (swt) guide us to the straight path (Aameen)
