Gaza under attack – Our responsibilities

Gaza is under continuous terrorist attacks. Daily many civilians are dying due to the attack done by terrorist Israel. We read the news regularly and sit in the houses as usual. Have we ever given a thought what can we do to help our brothers in Palestine apart from the blame game we usually play in every scenario. In spite of witnessing the condition of Palestine we are just behaving like a mere spectators and fighting with each other saying “As you sow so shall you reap”. This is not the time to fight but to help our brothers who are in need of us. 

We can help them in various ways. Let us do whatever we can. 

Get United: 

Unity is a need of the hour. Muslims across the globe must unite in accordance to the Quran and Sunnah. Allah ,the most high, has given the beautiful formula in the Glorious Quran, in surah Nisa, 4:59, which says “O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you really believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result.” If we apply this formula in our lives then, In’sha’Allah, we will soon get united. We should turn our problems to Allah and his Messenger if those who are in authority contradict with each other. 

Create Awareness: 

Let the people know what the State of Israel (Zionists) is doing with Muslims in Palestine. Creating awareness in public can lead to social boycott of that country and help in knowing the reality of Zionist as well as Muslims. 

The main stream media is manipulating and broadcasting the biased news and presenting the State of Israel as a hero who is fighting against terrorism, in fact the State of Israel itself is a foundation of terrorism. 

We can create awareness through Jumuah Khutba, wherein we can convey about the atrocities done by the Zionists to the Palestinians and make dua for the people of Gaza. We can arrange public programs on various topics and peacefully convey the message to the Muslims as well as the non-Muslims and also convey the message of Islam to the audience. Peaceful protests are also one of the best options wherein we can display our concern towards the people of Gaza and also show the government that these are the people who are standing for the cause of Gaza. Writing articles, poems and slogans also help the message reach to the public in an effective way. We should utilize each and every option and create awareness in a peaceful way. 

Boycott Israel: 

Most importantly we should boycott the products of Israel and America. Economy is the backbone of every country. If we hit the economy of any country, then it will collapse automatically. We should hit there where it pains. So boycotting the products of America and Israel is the best option we have to hit them and collapse their economy. There are products we buy for day to day life. We should cautiously choose the products which is not made in America or Israel or does not support these tyrants. In this way we can easily hit the economy and stop them in spending their money in making missiles which hits the innocent Muslims in Gaza and other parts of the world. Yusuf Al Qaradawi said "Each riyal, dirham …etc. used to buy their goods eventually becomes bullets to be fired at the hearts of brothers and children in Palestine.. To buy their goods is to support tyranny, oppression and aggression." 

Pressurize the Government: 

We should write mails to the officials and show concern towards Gaza. We can have peaceful protest in front of prominent government offices and submit memorandum to the concern authorities and urge the government to break all the ties from Israel and help the Palestinian on humanitarian ground. It is the duty of every country to ensure peace in the world and should stand for peace and stop the oppressors from killing and torturing innocents. It is not the tyrants, but it is the silence of good people that destroys the society. 

United Muslims Nation: 

Formation of United Muslims Nation (UMN) is the need of the hour. There are more than 50 countries ruled by Muslim leaders. All the Muslim leaders should come together and form UMN and sign various agreements between them. It may sound funny and difficult to form UMN, but it is not impossible. Every Muslim country should protect other Muslim Nation if they are attacked unjustly. They should have regular meeting and have Islamic way of trade and commerce. 

As I said earlier, economy is the backbone of every country; we should make our economy strong. We should come up with Islamic currency and boycott dealings in dollar and demand all the countries to have trade with them with Islamic currency. When we use our currency then automatically the demand of dollar diminishes and deteriorates which weakens the economy of western countries. 

Allah has blessed us with such goods which the whole world is dependent upon. We can set our rules and regulations in the trade and become powerful nations of the world – both physically as well as economically. The only thing is that we should fear Allah and throw away the nationalism which is prevailing in Muslim countries and work for the betterment of entire Muslim Ummah. It is Allah who gives honor to whomsoever he wills. 

Send Help: 

We should send help to Gaza in whichever way possible. They are in need of medical aid and various other day to day necessities. People of Gaza are not getting their regular needs like food, shelter, medical aid, etc. We should try our level best to help them in this cause through proper channel. 

Pray: 

Lastly, don’t underestimate your prayer. Prayer can change the destiny, so continuously pray for the people of Gaza and urge the people to pray for them. Pray Qunut-e-Nazilah and request your Imam to pray Qunut for the people of Gaza and curse the oppressors whether it is Israel or Egypt.
